Starting July 1 through August 31, 2015 join us as we get social and share our Indie summer fun and travels using hashtag #IPAPRSAFUN! Indies unite! Share your visual stories and let’s get to know one another socially on our new PRSA IPA Facebook Page!
Start by snapping some fun summer pics: you eating ice cream, listening to a band…going to festivals…an image of your favorite beach or flower…whatever makes you smile this summer. Then share your fun summertime photos to our Indie conversation (“convo”) and hashtag #IPAPRSAFUN on PRSA IPA Facebook Page. Mid-Year check-in with IPA Chair Gina Milani
It’s been an exciting year so far and the 2015 IPA Executive Committee team has managed to field five very popular topics in the first six months of our Indie 12/60 Series of Teleseminars. But that’s not all, we also relaunched the IPA social media channels and held our first Twitter Chat!.
For new members, the 12/60 Teleseminar series are monthly topics to help aspiring Indies launch out on their own and provide insights into new tools and features available to achieve success whether you’re just starting out or have a good foundation.
IPA 12/60 program hosts first IPA Twitter Chat!
On June 3, 2015, IPA’s 12/60 program used an exciting interactive communications tool to chat about the topic of social media. IPA’s social media chair, Louise Eliason, CEO of Eliason Associates, a public relations and multimedia consultancy, launched our first PRSA IPA Twitter Chat, “Social Media for Business” #IPAPRSA. Joining her as guest contributors in IPA’s Twitter chat were
PRSA Counselors Academy’s chair-elect, Martin Waxman, APR, president of a consultancy, Martin Waxman Communications, and Nicole Henderson, PRSA Corporate Communications section executive committee, member-at-large, and owner of Selsi Enterprises.
Not receiving PRSA emails??? Check your myPRSA configuration – here’s how
This is really important. If you’re not receiving PRSA emails, it may be because you haven’t completed your “Opt In” configurations to receive PRSA, IPA emails and the IPA Forum (be sure to check your status, here’s where to find it)
- Log in to your myPRSA account
- In your profile, see “my communications preferences” – hit edit and select to “opt in” to all PRSA emails.
- Under profile, select “my networking tools” – here is where you can “opt in” to participate in the IPA online forum where we ask and answer questions and help each other as a section.
